महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-30, verse-1

गरुड उवाच ।
सख्यं मेऽस्तु त्वया देव यथेच्छसि पुरंदर ।
बलं तु मम जानीहि महच्चासह्यमेव च ॥१॥
1. garuḍa uvāca ,
sakhyaṁ me'stu tvayā deva yathecchasi puraṁdara ,
balaṁ tu mama jānīhi mahaccāsahyameva ca.
1. garuḍa uvāca sakhyam me astu tvayā deva yathā icchasi
purandara balam tu mama jānīhi mahat ca asahyam eva ca
1. Garuda said: 'O god, O Purandara, let our friendship be as you wish. But know that my strength is truly great and irresistible.'
