महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-29, verse-22

दृष्ट्वा तदद्भुतं चापि सहस्राक्षः पुरंदरः ।
खगो महदिदं भूतमिति मत्वाभ्यभाषत ॥२२॥
22. dṛṣṭvā tadadbhutaṁ cāpi sahasrākṣaḥ puraṁdaraḥ ,
khago mahadidaṁ bhūtamiti matvābhyabhāṣata.
22. dṛṣṭvā tad adbhutam ca api sahasrākṣaḥ purandaraḥ
khagaḥ mahat idam bhūtam iti matvā abhyabhāṣata
22. And having seen that wonder, the thousand-eyed Purandara (Indra), thinking, 'This flying creature is a great being,' then addressed (Garuḍa).
