महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-29, verse-18

तमुवाचेन्द्रमाक्रन्दे गरुडः पततां वरः ।
प्रहसञ्श्लक्ष्णया वाचा तथा वज्रसमाहतः ॥१८॥
18. tamuvācendramākrande garuḍaḥ patatāṁ varaḥ ,
prahasañślakṣṇayā vācā tathā vajrasamāhataḥ.

18. Garuḍa, the best among flying creatures, spoke to him (Indra), who was in distress, laughing with a gentle voice, even though he himself had been struck by the thunderbolt.
