अबर्हान्मांसभूतान्नः क्रव्यादाखुर्विनाशयेत् ।
पश्यमाना भयमिदं न शक्ष्यामो निषेवितुम् ॥१८॥

18. śārṅgakā ūcuḥ ,
abarhānmāṁsabhūtānnaḥ kravyādākhurvināśayet ,
paśyamānā bhayamidaṁ na śakṣyāmo niṣevitum.

18.
The Śārṅgakas said: 'A flesh-eating (kravyād) rat could destroy us, who are without feathers and are merely flesh. As we perceive this danger, we are unable to use this (burrow).'
