महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-14, verse-14

ततः पञ्चशते काले कद्रूपुत्रा विनिःसृताः ।
अण्डाभ्यां विनतायास्तु मिथुनं न व्यदृश्यत ॥१४॥
14. tataḥ pañcaśate kāle kadrūputrā viniḥsṛtāḥ ,
aṇḍābhyāṁ vinatāyāstu mithunaṁ na vyadṛśyata.
14. tataḥ pañcaśate kāle kadrūputrāḥ viniḥsṛtāḥ
aṇḍābhyām vinatāyāḥ tu mithunam na vyadṛśyata
14. Then, after five hundred (years/days), Kadru's sons emerged. But from Vinata's two eggs, no offspring were seen.
