महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-120, verse-4

अधिजग्मुर्यथा वेदांस्तपसा ब्रह्मवादिनः ।
तथा स तपसोपेतः सर्वाण्यस्त्राण्यवाप ह ॥४॥
4. adhijagmuryathā vedāṁstapasā brahmavādinaḥ ,
tathā sa tapasopetaḥ sarvāṇyastrāṇyavāpa ha.

4. Just as the expounders of Brahman (brahman) attained the Vedas through their austere practices (tapas), similarly, he, imbued with such austerity (tapas), indeed acquired all the weapons.
