महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-120, verse-19

निहितौ गौतमस्तत्र तपसा तावविन्दत ।
आगम्य चास्मै गोत्रादि सर्वमाख्यातवांस्तदा ॥१९॥
19. nihitau gautamastatra tapasā tāvavindata ,
āgamya cāsmai gotrādi sarvamākhyātavāṁstadā.

19. Gautama discovered the two abandoned children there through his spiritual practice (tapas). Then, having approached him, (someone) related to him all the details, including their lineage.
