योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-7, chapter-78, verse-3

आदित्यपथसंप्राप्तकन्दरो जडमन्थरः ।
एकार्णवः समुच्छून आसीन्मूर्ख इवेश्वरः ॥ ३ ॥
ādityapathasaṃprāptakandaro jaḍamantharaḥ ,
ekārṇavaḥ samucchūna āsīnmūrkha iveśvaraḥ 3

ekārṇavaḥ samucchūnaḥ āsīt mūrkhaḥ iva īśvaraḥ
3. (saḥ jaḍavegaḥ) ādityapathasaṃprāptakandaraḥ jaḍamantharaḥ ekārṇavaḥ samucchūnaḥ mūrkhaḥ iva īśvaraḥ āsīt.
3. With its caverns reaching the path of the sun, sluggish and slow, it became a single ocean, greatly swollen, just like a foolish ruler (īśvara) (swells with power and becomes sluggish).
