योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-7, chapter-66, verse-5

अर्णवा अर्णसा भान्ति यान्त्यन्तः शनकैः प्रजाः ।
भूतान्यजस्रं जायन्ते म्रियन्तेऽविरतं यथा ॥ ५ ॥
arṇavā arṇasā bhānti yāntyantaḥ śanakaiḥ prajāḥ ,
bhūtānyajasraṃ jāyante mriyante'virataṃ yathā 5
5. arṇavāḥ arṇasā bhānti yānti antaḥ śanakaiḥ prajāḥ
bhūtāni ajasram jāyante mriyante aviratam yathā

5. Oceans gleam with their vast waters. Creatures slowly move towards their end. Just as this happens, beings are ceaselessly born and continuously die.
