योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-7, chapter-24, verse-20

इन्द्रियाणि निकृन्तन्ति न जाने किं भविष्यति ।
शास्त्रदृष्टिरपि प्राज्ञैर्नाश्रिता तरणाय या ॥ २० ॥
indriyāṇi nikṛntanti na jāne kiṃ bhaviṣyati ,
śāstradṛṣṭirapi prājñairnāśritā taraṇāya yā 20
20. indriyāṇi nikṛntanti na jāne kim bhaviṣyati
śāstra-dṛṣṭiḥ api prājñaiḥ na āśritā taraṇāya yā
20. indriyāṇi nikṛntanti kim bhaviṣyati na jāne yā
śāstra-dṛṣṭiḥ taraṇāya api prājñaiḥ na āśritā
20. The senses (indriya) are tearing me apart; I do not know what will happen. Even the wise have not resorted to that scriptural insight (śāstradṛṣṭi) which is meant for crossing over (saṃsāra) to liberation.
