ममेत्युक्तवतो मङ्किर्विनिपत्य स पादयोः ।
उवाचानन्दपूर्णाक्षमिदं मार्गे वहन्वचः ॥ १ ॥

Śrī Vasiṣṭha said: Maṅki, who had (previously) asserted "mine" (out of attachment), prostrated himself at his feet. With eyes full of joy, he then uttered these words, which lead one on the path (of spiritual knowledge).
