योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-6, chapter-114, verse-7

सलिलव्यतिरेकेण तरङ्गो येन भावितः ।
तरङ्गबुद्धिरेवैका स्थिता तस्य न वारिधीः ॥ ७ ॥
salilavyatirekeṇa taraṅgo yena bhāvitaḥ ,
taraṅgabuddhirevaikā sthitā tasya na vāridhīḥ 7

taraṅgabuddhiḥ eva ekā sthitā tasya na vāridhiḥ

7. If a person perceives a wave as distinct from water, then for that person, a single perception of a wave alone persists; not the ocean.
