17. O sage, this enemy, the ego (ahaṅkāra), has spread here [a condition] that is devoid of the doctrines and sacred utterances related to sons, friends, wives, and so forth.

17. הוֹ מֻנִי (חכם פרוש), הַאַהַנְקָארָה (תחושת האגו), האויב האכזר, פרש כאן רשת סבוכה של בנים, חברים ובני זוג, שאין ממנה מנוס.
