मिथ्यामयेन भीतोऽस्मि दुरहंकारशत्रुणा ॥ १ ॥

Śrī Rāma said: "It has risen fruitlessly from delusion, and it grows fruitlessly. I am truly terrified by this illusory, evil enemy, ego (ahaṅkāra)."
