अहंकारघने शान्ते तृष्णा नवतडिल्लता ।
शान्तदीपशिखावृत्त्या क्वापि यात्यतिसत्वरम् ॥ १३ ॥

13. ahaṅkāra-ghane śānte tṛṣṇā navataḍillatā
śāntadīpaśikhāvṛttyā kva api yāti atisatvaram

13. Even when the dense ego (ahaṅkāra) is quiescent, craving (tṛṣṇā), like a fresh lightning creeper, vanishes somewhere very swiftly, just as a lamp flame does when it has been extinguished.

13. כאשר ענן הַאַהַנְקָארָה הכבד נרגע ונעלם, התשוקה, שהיא כמו הברק החדש בשמיים, נעלמת במהירות הבזק בדיוק כמו להבת מנורה שכבתה.
