वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-7, chapter-55, verse-10

सृष्टः शरो ऽयं काकुत्स्थ यदा शेते महार्णवे ।
स्वयम्भूरजितो देवो यं नापश्यन् सुरासुराः ॥१०॥
10. sṛṣṭaḥ śaro'yaṃ kākutstha yadā śete mahārṇave ,
svayambhūrajito devo yaṃ nāpaśyan surāsurāḥ.
10. sṛṣṭaḥ śaraḥ ayam kākutstha yadā śete mahārṇave
svayambhūḥ ajitaḥ devaḥ yam na apaśyan surāsurāḥ
10. This arrow, O Kakutstha, was fashioned when the self-born (svayambhū), unconquered god slept in the great ocean, a being whom neither the gods nor the demons could perceive.
