तेन यक्षेण मारीचो विष्णुनेव समाहतः ।
पतितः पृथिवीं भेजे क्षीणपुण्य इवाम्बरात् ॥१९॥

19. By that yakṣa, Marīca was struck down, just as by Viṣṇu. He fell to the earth, like one whose merit (puṇya) is exhausted falling from the sky.
