वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-4, chapter-31, verse-8

अतोनिमित्तं त्रस्तो ऽहं रामेण तु महात्मना ।
यन्ममोपकृतं शक्यं प्रतिकर्तुं न तन्मया ॥८॥
8. atonimittaṃ trasto'haṃ rāmeṇa tu mahātmanā ,
yanmamopakṛtaṃ śakyaṃ pratikartuṃ na tanmayā.
8. ataḥ nimittam trastaḥ aham rāmeṇa tu mahātmanā
yat mama upakṛtam śakyam pratikartum na tat mayā
8. ataḥ nimittam aham trastaḥ tu mahātmanā rāmeṇa
yat mama upakṛtam tat mayā pratikartum na śakyam
8. For this reason, I am afraid, particularly concerning the great-souled Rāma (mahātman). What has been done as a favor for me by him, it is not possible for me to repay that.
