वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-3, chapter-62, verse-20

किं ते सर्वविनाशेन कृतेन पुरुषर्षभ ।
तमेव तु रिपुं पापं विज्ञायोद्धर्तुमर्हसि ॥२०॥
20. kiṃ te sarvavināśena kṛtena puruṣarṣabha ,
tameva tu ripuṃ pāpaṃ vijñāyoddhartumarhasi.

eva tu ripum pāpam vijñāya uddhartum arhasi
20. puruṣarṣabha te sarvavināśena kṛtena kim [phalam]? tu tam eva pāpam ripum vijñāya uddhartum arhasi.
20. O bull among men (puruṣarṣabha), what is the benefit for you in accomplishing universal destruction? Rather, you should identify that very sinful enemy and ought to rescue (Sita).
