वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-2, chapter-96, verse-27

उपोपविष्टस्तु तदा स वीर्यवांस्तपस्विवेषेण समीक्ष्य राघवम् ।
श्रिया ज्वलन्तं भरतः कृताञ्जलिर्यथा महेन्द्रः प्रयतः प्रजापतिम् ॥२७॥
27. upopaviṣṭastu tadā sa vīryavāṃstapasviveṣeṇa samīkṣya rāghavam ,
śriyā jvalantaṃ bharataḥ kṛtāñjaliryathā mahendraḥ prayataḥ prajāpatim.

27. Then, the mighty Bharata, having sat near and observed Rama, who was shining with splendor in the guise of an ascetic, stood with folded hands, just as the reverent Indra stands before Prajapati (the lord of creation).
