मुखं ते प्रेक्ष्य मां शोको दहत्यग्निरिवाश्रयम् ।
भृशं मनसि वैदेहि व्यसनारणिसंभवः ॥२३॥

23. mukhaṃ te prekṣya māṃ śoko dahatyagnirivāśrayam ,
bhṛśaṃ manasi vaidehi vyasanāraṇisaṃbhavaḥ.

23. O Vaidehī, when I behold your face, grief, born from the kindling sticks of misfortune, intensely consumes my mind, just as fire burns its own abode.
