वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-2, chapter-26, verse-20

एवं बहुविधं तं सा याचते गमनं प्रति ।
नानुमेने महाबाहुस्तां नेतुं विजनं वनम् ॥२०॥
20. evaṃ bahuvidhaṃ taṃ sā yācate gamanaṃ prati ,
nānumene mahābāhustāṃ netuṃ vijanaṃ vanam.
20. evam bahuvidham tam sā yācate gamanam prati
na anūmene mahābāhuḥ tām netum vijanam vanam
20. sā evam bahuvidham tam gamanam prati yācate (kintu)
mahābāhuḥ tām vijanam vanam netum na anūmene
20. In this manner, she implored him in many ways concerning her going (with him). However, the mighty-armed (mahābāhu) [Rama] did not consent to take her to the solitary forest.
