वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-1, chapter-70, verse-17

स च मे प्रेषयामास शैवं धनुरनुत्तमम् ।
सीता कन्या च पद्माक्षी मह्यं वै दीयतामिति ॥१७॥
17. sa ca me preṣayāmāsa śaivaṃ dhanuranuttamam ,
sītā kanyā ca padmākṣī mahyaṃ vai dīyatāmiti.
17. saḥ ca me preṣayāmāsa śaivam dhanuḥ anuttamam
sītā kanyā ca padmākṣī mahyam vai dīyatām iti
17. saḥ ca me (janakāya) anuttamam śaivam dhanuḥ preṣayāmāsa (āha ca),
"sītā padmākṣī kanyā ca mahyam vai dīyatām" iti
17. And he (King Sudhanvan) sent word to me (Janaka), demanding, 'Let the unsurpassed bow of Shiva, and also the lotus-eyed maiden Sita, truly be given to me!'
