वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-1, chapter-26, verse-8

धर्मपाशमहं राम कालपाशं तथैव च ।
वारुणं पाशमस्त्रं च ददान्यहमनुत्तमम् ॥८॥
8. dharmapāśamahaṃ rāma kālapāśaṃ tathaiva ca ,
vāruṇaṃ pāśamastraṃ ca dadānyahamanuttamam.
8. dharmapāśam aham rāma kālapāśam tathā eva ca
vāruṇam pāśam astram ca dadāni aham anuttamam
8. rāma aham dharmapāśam tathā eva ca kālapāśam
ca vāruṇam pāśam anuttamam astram aham dadāni
8. O Rama, I bestow upon you the noose of natural law (dharma), and similarly the noose of time (kāla), as well as the unsurpassed weapon, Varuna's noose.
