वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-1, chapter-22, verse-13

तस्य गात्रं हतं तत्र निर्दग्धस्य महात्मना ।
अशरीरः कृतः कामः क्रोधाद्देवेश्वरेण ह ॥१३॥
13. tasya gātraṃ hataṃ tatra nirdagdhasya mahātmanā ,
aśarīraḥ kṛtaḥ kāmaḥ krodhāddeveśvareṇa ha.
13. tasya gātram hatam tatra nirdagdhasya mahātmanā
aśarīraḥ kṛtaḥ kāmaḥ krodhāt deveśvareṇa ha
13. mahātmanā nirdagdhasya tasya gātram tatra hatam.
deveśvareṇa krodhāt kāmaḥ aśarīraḥ kṛtaḥ ha.
13. There, his body, having been completely consumed by the great soul (mahātman), was destroyed. Indeed, out of anger, the Lord of gods (deveśvara) rendered the god of desire (kāma) bodiless.
