वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-1, chapter-14, verse-11

तन्मनन्नो भयं तस्माद् राक्षसाद्घोरदर्शनात् ।
वधार्थं तस्य भगवन्नुपायं कर्तुमर्हसि ॥११॥
11. tanmananno bhayaṃ tasmād rākṣasādghoradarśanāt ,
vadhārthaṃ tasya bhagavannupāyaṃ kartumarhasi.
11. tat manan naḥ bhayam tasmāt rākṣasāt ghoradarśanāt
vadhārtham tasya bhagavan upāyam kartum arhasi
11. bhagavan tasmāt ghoradarśanāt rākṣasāt tat naḥ
manan bhayam tasya vadhārtham upāyam kartum arhasi
11. Therefore, our fear is from that demon of dreadful appearance. O Lord, you ought to devise a means for his killing.
