वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-1, chapter-14, verse-1

मेधावी तु ततो ध्यात्वा स किं चिदिदमुत्तमम् ।
लब्धसंज्ञस्ततस्तं तु वेदज्ञो नृपमब्रवीत् ॥१॥
1. medhāvī tu tato dhyātvā sa kiṃ cididamuttamam ,
labdhasaṃjñastatastaṃ tu vedajño nṛpamabravīt.
1. medhāvī tu tataḥ dhyātvā sa kim cit idam uttamam
labdhasaṃjñaḥ tataḥ tam tu vedajñaḥ nṛpam abravīt
1. tu tataḥ sa medhāvī idam uttamam kim cit dhyātvā
labdhasaṃjñaḥ tataḥ tu vedajñaḥ tam nṛpam abravīt
1. But then, having meditated (dhyāna) on this excellent matter, that wise one, having attained clear understanding, indeed spoke to that king, who was a knower of the Vedas.
