बृहत्-पाराशर-होरा-शास्त्रम्       bṛhat-pārāśara-horā-śāstram - chapter-93, verse-6

चतुर्द्वारसमायुक्तं तोरणाद्यैरलङ्कृतम् ।
कुण्डं ग्रहादियज्ञार्थं तद्बहिश्च प्रकल्पयेत् ॥६॥
6. caturdvārasamāyuktaṃ toraṇādyairalaṅkṛtam .
kuṇḍaṃ grahādiyajñārthaṃ tadbahiśca prakalpayet.
6. caturdvārasamāyuktam toraṇādyaiḥ alaṅkṛtam kuṇḍam

6. For the purpose of Vedic rituals (yajña) to the planets (graha) and other deities, one should construct a sacrificial pit (kuṇḍa). This pit should be equipped with four doors and adorned with archways (toraṇa) and the like. It should be established externally (to the main ritual area).
