बृहत्-पाराशर-होरा-शास्त्रम्       bṛhat-pārāśara-horā-śāstram - chapter-93, verse-5

सुसमे च शुभे स्थाने गोमयेनोपलेपिते ।
मण्डपं स्वगृहात् प्राच्यामुदीच्यां वा प्रकल्पयेत् ॥५॥
5. susame ca śubhe sthāne gomayenopalepite .
maṇḍapaṃ svagṛhāt prācyāmudīcyāṃ vā prakalpayet.

5. In a very level, auspicious place, smeared with cow dung, one should construct a pavilion (maṇḍapa) either to the east or to the north of one's own house.
