बृहत्-पाराशर-होरा-शास्त्रम्       bṛhat-pārāśara-horā-śāstram - chapter-93, verse-2

अभुक्तमूलजं पुत्रं पुत्रीं वाऽपि परित्यजेत् ।
अथवाऽब्दाष्टकं तातस्तन्मुखं न विलोकयेत् ॥२॥
2. abhuktamūlajaṃ putraṃ putrīṃ vā'pi parityajet .
athavā'bdāṣṭakaṃ tātastanmukhaṃ na vilokayet.

2. One should abandon a son or even a daughter born in the inauspicious portion of the Mūla lunar mansion. Alternatively, the father should not look at that child's face for eight years.
