अनेनैव तु मन्त्रेण सम्यगाज्यं विलोकयेत् ।
मूलगण्डोद्भवस्तैवं सर्पपापं प्रणश्यति ॥२०॥

20. anenaiva tu mantreṇa samyagājyaṃ vilokayet .
mūlagaṇḍodbhavastaivaṃ sarpapāpaṃ praṇaśyati.

20. anena eva tu mantreṇa samyak ājyam vilokayet
mūlagaṇḍodbhavaḥ tathā evam sarpapāpam praṇaśyati

20. Indeed, one should properly consecrate the ghee with this very mantra. In this way, the `sarpa-pāpa` (serpent affliction) originating from a `mūla-gaṇḍa` (inauspicious astrological junction) is completely destroyed.
