मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-89, verse-23

शुम्भेनागत्य या शक्तिर्मुक्ता ज्वालातिभीषणा ।
आयान्ती वह्निकूटाभा सा निरस्ता महोल्कया ॥२३॥

23. That terrifying missile (śakti), dreadful with its flames and appearing like a mass of fire, which was released by Shumbha and came forth, was repelled by a great meteor.
