अथादाय गदां सोऽपि चिक्षेप चण्डिकां प्रति ।
सापि देव्या त्रिशूलेन भिन्ना भस्मत्वमागता ॥१३॥

Then, taking his mace, he also hurled it towards Chaṇḍikā. But, struck by the Goddess's trident, it turned into ash.
