मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-54, verse-16

शरावसंस्थितत्वाच्च द्वात्रिंशन्मूर्ध्नि विस्तृतः ।
शुक्लः पीतोऽसितो रक्तः प्राच्यादिषु यथाक्रमम् ॥१६॥
16. śarāvasaṃsthitatvācca dvātriṃśanmūrdhni vistṛtaḥ .
śuklaḥ pīto'sito raktaḥ prācyādiṣu yathākramam.
16. śarāvasaṃsthitatvāt ca dvātriṃśat mūrdhni vistṛtaḥ
śuklaḥ pītaḥ asitaḥ raktaḥ pracyādiṣu yathākramam
16. And because its form is like a dish, it is thirty-two (thousand yojanas) wide at its summit. Its colors are white, yellow, black, and red, respectively, in the eastern and other directions.
