मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-41, verse-2

दत्तात्रेय उवाच ।
मानापमानौ यावेतौ प्रत्युद्वेगकरौ नृणाम् ।
तावेव विपरीतार्थौ योगिनः सिद्धिकारकौ ॥२॥

tāveva viparītārthau yoginaḥ siddhikārakau.

2. Dattātreya said: 'Honor and dishonor—these two, which cause anxiety to ordinary people, have the opposite effect for a yogi (yogi); they are the very things that lead to his perfection (siddhi).'
