अलर्क उवाच ।
भगवन् योगिनश्चर्यां श्रोतुमिच्छामि तत्त्वतः ।
ब्रह्मवर्त्मन्यनुसरन् यथा योगी न सीदति ॥१॥
भगवन् योगिनश्चर्यां श्रोतुमिच्छामि तत्त्वतः ।
ब्रह्मवर्त्मन्यनुसरन् यथा योगी न सीदति ॥१॥

bhagavan yoginaścaryāṃ śrotumicchāmi tattvataḥ .
brahmavartmanyanusaran yathā yogī na sīdati.

Alarka said: 'O revered one, I wish to hear in detail about the conduct of a yogi (yogi), so that by following the path of Brahman (brahman), a yogi (yogi) does not falter.'
