महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-8, chapter-2, verse-4

शस्त्राण्येषां च राजेन्द्र शोणिताक्तान्यशेषतः ।
प्राभ्रश्यन्त कराग्रेभ्यो दृष्ट्वा द्रोणं निपातितम् ॥४॥
4. śastrāṇyeṣāṁ ca rājendra śoṇitāktānyaśeṣataḥ ,
prābhraśyanta karāgrebhyo dṛṣṭvā droṇaṁ nipātitam.
4. śastrāṇi eṣām ca rājendra śoṇita āktāni aśeṣataḥ
prābhraśyanta kara agrebhyaḥ dṛṣṭvā droṇam nipātitam
4. rājendra droṇam nipātitam dṛṣṭvā eṣām ca aśeṣataḥ
śoṇita āktāni kara agrebhyaḥ prābhraśyanta
4. And their weapons, O king of kings, completely smeared with blood, fell from their fingertips upon seeing Droṇa struck down.
