महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-5, chapter-112, verse-15

गुर्वर्थो दीयतामेष यदि गालव मन्यसे ।
इत्येवमाह सक्रोधो विश्वामित्रस्तपोधनः ॥१५॥
15. gurvartho dīyatāmeṣa yadi gālava manyase ,
ityevamāha sakrodho viśvāmitrastapodhanaḥ.
15. gurvarthaḥ dīyatām eṣaḥ yadi gālava manyase
iti evam āha sakrodhaḥ viśvāmitraḥ tapodhanaḥ
15. If you consider it appropriate, O Gālava, let this (payment) be given as the guru's fee!' Thus spoke Viśvāmitra, who was angry and whose wealth was austerity (tapas).
