महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-5, chapter-112, verse-13

असकृत्तेन चोक्तेन किंचिदागतमन्युना ।
अयमुक्तः प्रयच्छेति जानता विभवं लघु ॥१३॥
13. asakṛttena coktena kiṁcidāgatamanyunā ,
ayamuktaḥ prayaccheti jānatā vibhavaṁ laghu.
13. asakṛt tena ca uktena kiñcit āgatamanunā ayam
uktaḥ prayaccha iti jānatā vibhavam laghu
13. And when he (Gālava) repeatedly asked, Viśvāmitra, becoming slightly angry and knowing his (Gālava's) meager means, said to him, 'Give (the guru's fee)!'
