सोऽहं पापः कृतघ्नश्च कृपणश्चानृतोऽपि च ।
गुरोर्यः कृतकार्यः संस्तत्करोमि न भाषितम् ।
सोऽहं प्राणान्विमोक्ष्यामि कृत्वा यत्नमनुत्तमम् ॥१२॥

12. so'haṁ pāpaḥ kṛtaghnaśca kṛpaṇaścānṛto'pi ca ,
guroryaḥ kṛtakāryaḥ saṁstatkaromi na bhāṣitam ,
so'haṁ prāṇānvimokṣyāmi kṛtvā yatnamanuttamam.

12. saḥ aham pāpaḥ kṛtaghnaḥ ca kṛpaṇaḥ ca
anṛtaḥ api ca guroḥ yaḥ kṛtakāryaḥ
san tat karomi na bhāṣitam saḥ aham
prāṇān vimokṣyāmi kṛtvā yatnam anuttamam

12. I am sinful, ungrateful, wretched, and also deceitful. I, who have fulfilled the task of my preceptor (guru), do not act according to his words. Therefore, I will abandon my life after making the utmost effort.
