महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-4, chapter-24, verse-2

तस्मिन्पुरे जनपदे संजल्पोऽभूच्च सर्वशः ।
शौर्याद्धि वल्लभो राज्ञो महासत्त्वश्च कीचकः ॥२॥
2. tasminpure janapade saṁjalpo'bhūcca sarvaśaḥ ,
śauryāddhi vallabho rājño mahāsattvaśca kīcakaḥ.

śauryāt hi vallabhaḥ rājñaḥ mahāsattvaḥ ca kīcakaḥ
2. In that city and province, there was widespread talk. Indeed, Kīcaka, valorous and exceptionally strong, was very dear to the king.
