महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-96, verse-5

लोमश उवाच ।
तत आयव्ययौ पूर्णौ तस्मै राजा न्यवेदयत् ।
अतो विद्वन्नुपादत्स्व यदत्र वसु मन्यसे ॥५॥
5. lomaśa uvāca ,
tata āyavyayau pūrṇau tasmai rājā nyavedayat ,
ato vidvannupādatsva yadatra vasu manyase.
5. lomaśaḥ uvāca tataḥ āya-vyayau pūrṇau tasmai rājā
ni-avedayat ataḥ vidvan upādatsva yat atra vasu manyase
5. Lomasha said: "Then the king presented to him (tasmai) a full account of his income and expenditure (āya-vyayau pūrṇau). Therefore, O wise one (vidvan), take (upādatsva) from here (atra) whatever wealth (vasu) you deem appropriate (manyase)."
