महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-96, verse-3

तस्मै चार्घ्यं यथान्यायमानीय पृथिवीपतिः ।
प्राञ्जलिः प्रयतो भूत्वा पप्रच्छागमनेऽर्थिताम् ॥३॥
3. tasmai cārghyaṁ yathānyāyamānīya pṛthivīpatiḥ ,
prāñjaliḥ prayato bhūtvā papracchāgamane'rthitām.

3. The king, after respectfully offering him an oblation (arghyam) according to custom (yathānyāyam), and with folded hands (prāñjaliḥ) and a composed mind (prayataḥ), inquired about the purpose (arthitām) of his arrival (āgamane).
