महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-64, verse-14

दह्यमानः स शोकेन दिवारात्रमतन्द्रितः ।
निशाकाले स्मरंस्तस्याः श्लोकमेकं स्म गायति ॥१४॥
14. dahyamānaḥ sa śokena divārātramatandritaḥ ,
niśākāle smaraṁstasyāḥ ślokamekaṁ sma gāyati.

niśākāle smaran tasyāḥ ślokam ekam sma gāyati
14. Day and night, tormented by sorrow, he, unwearied, would recall her in the night time and sing a single verse.
