Indeed, O Lord of the earth (pṛthivīpati), highly fortunate (mahābhāga) brahmins (brāhmaṇa), when honored, are capable of bringing salvation (tāraṇa). Conversely, if treated otherwise, they can also cause destruction (vadha).
