कुन्त्युवाच ।
ब्राह्मणं यन्त्रिता राजनुपस्थास्यामि पूजया ।
यथाप्रतिज्ञं राजेन्द्र न च मिथ्या ब्रवीम्यहम् ॥१॥

brāhmaṇaṁ yantritā rājanupasthāsyāmi pūjayā ,
yathāpratijñaṁ rājendra na ca mithyā bravīmyaham.

1. Kunti said: "O King, I, restrained (by my word), will attend to the Brahmin with reverence. O best of kings, I will not speak falsely, in accordance with my promise."

1. קוּנְטִי אמרה, הו מלך, אשרת את הבְּרַהְמִין בכבוד ובריסון עצמי, כפי שהבטחתי, הו מלך המלכים, ואיני אומרת שקר.
