महाभारतः mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-288, verse-2

एष चैव स्वभावो मे पूजयेयं द्विजानिति ।
तव चैव प्रियं कार्यं श्रेयश्चैतत्परं मम ॥२॥

2. eṣa caiva svabhāvo me pūjayeyaṁ dvijāniti ,
tava caiva priyaṁ kāryaṁ śreyaścaitatparaṁ mama.

2. eṣaḥ ca eva svabhāvaḥ me pūjayeyam dvijān iti |
tava ca eva priyam kāryam śreyaḥ ca etat param mama

2. Indeed, this is my intrinsic nature (svabhāva) that I should worship the Brahmins. Moreover, this deed is pleasing to you, and it is my supreme welfare.

2. זהו גם טבעי לי, לכבד בְּרַהְמִינים. ולעשות את הנעים לך הוא בעיניי הטוב העליון.
