महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-288, verse-12

वैशंपायन उवाच ।
एवमुक्त्वा तु तां कन्यां कुन्तिभोजो महायशाः ।
पृथां परिददौ तस्मै द्विजाय सुतवत्सलः ॥१२॥
12. vaiśaṁpāyana uvāca ,
evamuktvā tu tāṁ kanyāṁ kuntibhojo mahāyaśāḥ ,
pṛthāṁ paridadau tasmai dvijāya sutavatsalaḥ.

mahāyaśāḥ pṛthām paridadau tasmai dvijāya sutavatsalaḥ
12. Vaiśaṃpāyana said: 'Having spoken thus, the glorious Kuntibhoja, who was affectionate towards his daughter, gave that girl, Pṛthā, to that Brahmin (dvija).'
