महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-252, verse-23

जग्राह तामुत्तरवस्त्रदेशे जयद्रथस्तं समवाक्षिपत्सा ।
तया समाक्षिप्ततनुः स पापः पपात शाखीव निकृत्तमूलः ॥२३॥
23. jagrāha tāmuttaravastradeśe; jayadrathastaṁ samavākṣipatsā ,
tayā samākṣiptatanuḥ sa pāpaḥ; papāta śākhīva nikṛttamūlaḥ.
23. jagrāha tām uttaravastra-deśe
jayadrathaḥ tam samavākṣipat sā
tayā samākṣipta-tanuḥ saḥ pāpaḥ
papāta śākhī iva nikṛtta-mūlaḥ
23. Jayadratha seized her by her upper garment. But she cast him down. That wicked man, his body violently thrown by her, fell like a tree whose roots had been severed.
