महाभारतः mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-202, verse-24

इन्द्रियाणां हि चरतां यन्मनोऽनुविधीयते ।
तदस्य हरते बुद्धिं नावं वायुरिवाम्भसि ॥२४॥

24. indriyāṇāṁ hi caratāṁ yanmano'nuvidhīyate ,
tadasya harate buddhiṁ nāvaṁ vāyurivāmbhasi.

24. Indeed, when the mind constantly follows the wandering senses, that mind carries away a person's intellect just as the wind carries away a boat on the water.
